Hudson's setup is great! His front arm and back arm are in good positions to start his swing. Ideally he would angle his bat at 45 degrees, if he's not going to use a "running start" like Ted Williams and Barry Bonds:
Notice above how Ted started with his bat vertical, then dropped it to 45 degrees by his shoulder as his front heel plants?
Instead, Hudson is dropping his hands and initiating his swing by pushing forward with his back arm:
See how far forward his back elbow is? This is a VERY common problem in the swing of young kids. The good news is that its also very correctable and the resulting improvement can be almost instantaneous!
The best ways I've found to fix bat drag:
1) Dry swings + verbal cue to "keep your back elbow behind you as you swing"
2) Noodle + high tee drill
3) One arm drill
Once Hudson corrects his bat drag, his improvement will be dramatic!!

Wow this analysis is great... we will definitely work on this
